Before we move on to how, I will first answer the question why even work with goals?
The answer is that working with goals brings results. When working with goals there is a commitment. Commitment brings results. Apparently it will cause you to step out of the comfort zone and even confront! But growth necessarily includes these three things.
In a work plan with goals we will know exactly where we want to get to and what is the best way to get there.
It’s not just technical, there’s a lot of looking inward along the way, addressing small victories and most importantly learning from the way and learning how to work with ourselves.

Let’s look at example of the difference between a goal and a statement of intent:
Statement of intent - "I want to start doing sports". "I'm dying to start exercising, I want to get back in shape"
A Goal - until the end of March I will do sports 3 times a week, one hour yoga / Pilates training, at the sea or at home.
Goal is defined according to the parameters of frequency / quantity, time and place. It requires commitment and action while declaring intentions is "maybe one day."
In addition, according to a study from the University of California, people who write their goals are 42% more likely to succeed than people who do not write. So if you have decided to take responsibility for your life and start writing your goals, here are some tips to help you how to write a goal correctly, and more importantly, how to work with yourself within the goals. It is true that writing is a first and important step, but what will really lead you to success is the actions you will take within the goals.

So how do you work with goals?
We will set the goal - what is the thing I want to achieve? The goal should be something practical that can be measured.
Is it something measured by quantity? For example, save X Dollar, lose X kg, read X books, do a course in something new or finish a project.
Or is it an action with frequency? An action I would like to repeat during a certain period, such as doing yoga 3 times a week, publishing an article or a post 2 times a week.
We will clarify about the goal - what is the time frame of the destination? And what is the space in which the target is carried out? As for the time frame we would like to define how long I want to be able to reach the goal or repeat a certain action. Recommends doing a time span of about 60-90 days, a short-term deadline pushes us forward and allows us to look back to learn. As for space we want to know where the goal is happening, what the physical place where the target is taking place. The clearer we are about the goal, the simpler it will be to act within it. Example: 3 times a week yoga until 30.4 at home.
Building a Goals Plan - we will break down the goal into steps if necessary. There are complex goals within which there are some small goals, the steps will give us an indication of whether we are in the right direction or not to the main goal.
We will write where we need to be and when, in order to meet the final goal.
A simple method is to take a page, draw a graph that reflects the period by week - you can cut back in time, or plan ahead, and check what needs to be done in any given week, with accuracy for the day's level. I mean we want to know what our actions are within the goal in the coming week, amd what the actions are for today.
It is recommended to do the planning within Excel or Google Sheets, and from there enter the actions in the calendar - if it is not in the calendar it does not happen! The goal plan should be in full sync with the calendar. Recommendation for Google Calendar and working with colors.
Planning and adjustments - Every weekend you should sit down with the goal plan. Plan for the week ahead, check what the progress was this week, where you could get better and where it worked good. This is the stage where adjustments are made where necessary in the plan and the weekly actions are put back into the calendar.

Working with goals can sound scary or intimidating to some of us because it requires us to be committed. Whether we admit it or not, we are not always ready for commitment, but in order to work with goals properly, to move forward at the pace we are striving for, we will need to express commitment.
Are you ready to commit?
Are you ready to take yourself forward?
Are you committed to growth and development?
Go ahead, if you answered yes to one or more of the questions, this is your time.
Start experimenting with what you have learned about goals, planning and commitment. And remember that only you can, create for yourself a routine and a life that you love!
ONLY YOU CAN!
