Do you believe your stories?

The only person who can make you successful is yourself, at the same time the only person who can prevent you from succeeding is yourself. Sounds complicated? Let's simplify things. In principle we can succeed in anything we want, it depends on us and how serious we become about what we want to create. Of course we need to adopt the right approach, practice tools, work with a work plan, with goals and know how to ask for support where needed. But even if we do all of these carefully,
Our stories will still be there to get in our way…
A story is a thought I have in relation to myself that comes to justify my limitations.
You, me and everyone you know have stories. And the least encouraging thing is that we continue to believe in our own stories, letting them take up space. Any such story is an obstacle in the way, and will keep us away from our goals, from what we are interested in creating or changing.

So how do you get rid of the stories? Apparently we are not… but there is a way to get through them without letting them stop us.
First - we will identify the story.
Second - we will find a solution to the story.
The problem is that we do not know how to recognize our stories, we believe them and accept them as facts.
The story is always a thought, while a fact is something that cannot be disputed. Thought will never be a fact, and so is a story. Fact is fact, story is story.
For example: "In winter it gets dark early" it’s a fact. This is something indisputable. Conversely if we have a story like this: "In winter I do not have enough time to work on what I want, the darkness depresses me and destroys my motivation"
Here is a story that came to justify my limitations and a solution can be found.
Fears of all kinds are great examples of stories. fear of success, fear of failure, fear of criticism, fear of commitment… I will give two examples of stories related to fear and we will see the solutions to the stories:

My solution: I am aware that fear will prevent me from acting freely and only hinder me along the way. I would like to remind myself that fear is just fear, that I am not afraid of failure at all because it is part of the way, only in this way can one succeed. A good example, it was only through all of Michael Jordan's failures that he was able to achieve what he achieved.
Story: "I do not want people to judge me or think i’m ridiculous"
My solution: I will remind myself that anyone who is good or prominent in something is subject to criticism. And anyone who does something different or special is under criticism. I will watch YouTube videos that support the topic. I will know that it is part of the nature of the people and I will try not to let it affect me or disturb me because it is part of the matter when doing something 'different'. If the review is good and can benefit me of course I will address it.

The right deal is to get to know the stories and find solutions that will help deal with the story we are telling ourselves. We can not delete the stories but find solutions to them! However, stories that are no longer relevant to us could certainly be erased from the list and turned into history. Write your list of stories in your notebook or on a page, all those that stop you from succeeding, and have prepared your list of solutions.
